The Hero Dies In This One...

The Hero Dies In This One
by The Ataris

As I leave here today, apartment 108
I'll always keep you in my heart.
Anderson is cold tonight,
The leaves are scattered on the ground.
I miss the seasons,
And the comfort of your smile.

Sometimes this all feels like a dream.
I'm waiting for someone to just wake me up,
From this life.

As I look out at these fairgrounds,
I remember how our family split apart.
I don't think I ever told you,
But I know you always did your best.
And the hard times,
They only made us stronger.

As I sit here all alone,
I wonder how I'm suppose to carry on when you're gone.
I'll never be the same without you,
I love you more then you will ever know.
So maybe now you finally know.
Sometimes we're helpless and alone,
But you can let it keep you weighted down.
You must go on.

Do you ever feel like crying?
Do you ever feel like giving up?
I raise my hands up towards the sky,
I say this prayer for you tonight,
Because nothing is impossible.

As I sit here all alone,
I wonder how I'm suppose to carry on when you're gone.
I'll never be the same without you,
I love you more then you will ever know.
So maybe now you finally know.
Sometimes we're helpless and alone,
But you can let it keep you weighted down.
You must go on.

(The hardest part isn't finding what we need to be, it's being content with who we are.)

Stay who you are.
You must go on.
Stay who you are

Memories...I want them back!

Nostalgia
by Shoutul Amal

Terkenang sebuah memori lalu
Kisah persahabatan kita bersama
Di dalam satu pengajian
Menuntut ilmu dan pengalaman
Mengingatkanku pengorbananmu
Terpahat padu di kalbuku

Bersama rakan taulan dan guru
Tawa riangmu menghiburkan hatiku
Indahnya suasana ketika itu
Terjalin ukhuwah sejati

Nasihatmu sungguh bermakna bagiku
Mengenalkanku erti kehidupan
Susah payah kita hadapi bersama
Itulah asam garam dalam kehidupan

Ya Tuhanku tabahkan hatinya
Kuatkan semangatnya untuk menghadapi hidup
Limpahkanlah maghfirah dan kasih sayang-Mu
Agar hidupnya sejahtera di dunia akhirat

Under Pressure...

Assalamu'alaikum...

Under Pressure....
It's a song title...Originally sang by David Bowie...Then, it's covered by My Chemical Romance and The Used...

But hey, I'm not going to talk about that...

This is my thesis statement (^_^)

While some may disagree, I firmly believe that human perform better under pressure...

Take term paper, for instance. The closer to the deadline, the more focused you become...

As for me, when I was given the E.A.P (English for Academic Purpose) assignment, it takes me forever to even start thinking of a topic for the research paper...
I ended up following Madam Ruhil's suggestion: Elective Caesarean...

Well, I'm not a big fan of the topic...
But I have my own view regarding the topic, which is against Elective Caesarean...
So, why not?

Days after days, weeks after weeks....
Finally I started searching for the info using IIUM database...
Mainly in LexisNexis Academic database...

Last 2 weeks, I was told that I have to submit the first draft on 3rd of March, which is last Wednesday...But then, Madam Hayati posponed it to 13th March, which is today...
I worked most of my brain cells out in order to try to finish it on time...
I sacrificed my sleeping time....Game time...My futsal time (liar!)...
Anyway, today, from morning until Friday prayer, I just sat in front of my laptop...EAP-ing...on an on again....

After Friday prayer, still the same routine...until.....

Jaz: Sam, Madam Yati kata, siapa yang dah present, tak payah datang kelas petang ni...

Me: Then, draft macam mane?

Jaz: Tak payah hantar...Madam gune marks presentation hari tu je...Kalau kita buat corrections yang madam suruh mase presentation tu, dapatlah marks 1st draft...

Me: oh...ok...(disappointed+relieved)

and finally......I end up writing this entry...
The point is, human work best under pressure..
So, pressurised yourself!

Know Your Customers

A disappointed salesman of Coca Cola returns from his Middle East assignment.

A friend asked, "Why weren't you successful with the Arabs?"

The salesman explained
"When I got posted in the Middle East , I was very confident that I would make a good sales pitch as Cola is virtually unknown there.

But, I had a problem cos I didn't know how to speak Arabic.
So, I planned to convey the message through three posters...

First poster: A man lying in the hot desert sand...totally exhausted and fainting.

Second poster: The man is drinking our Cola.

Third poster: Our man is now totally refreshed.

And then these posters were pasted all over the place

"Then that should have worked!" said the friend.

"The hell it should have!?" said the salesman.
"I didn't realize that Arabs read from right to left"

*I got this from an e-mail from my dad...

Don't Say A Word (part II)

An-Nawawi 40 Hadith: Hadith 15

Assalamu'alaikum...

"Speech is silver, silence is golden"
or the shorter form which is common nowadays,
"Silence is golden"

Proverbs...Short, yet meaningful...

I always let all sorts of words out of my mouth...
Some of them are OK while some may not...
Intended for joking and kidding...most of the time...
However, some people may take it personally...
Different people has different views...
I have to respect that...

I just want to say sorry to everyone that had been hurt by my words and sentences...
It's not meant to hurt, but to cheer...
But sometimes, it hurts...
I'm sorry...From the bottom of my heart...
