What The Fish!

Assalamu'alaikum...
and greetings to all fellow humans...

"What the fish!"
This isn't about a fish...
Whether it's sweet and sour, grilled, spicy or whatsoever (salivating mode)...
Instead, it's an expression used by someone I know to replace "What the f*ck!"
But hey, what's up with the fish? It sounds funny, right?

However, funny or not, the intended message is still "What the f*ck!"...

Some songs or TV shows tend to be censored when there's words such as "f*ck"...
However, depending on situation, the word "f*ck" doesn't necessarily mean "f*ck"...
Often, it is used as superlative...
e.g. "f*cking awesome", "f*cking hot"...

Well, it's good that people are trying to protect the young ones from the use of this vulgar word...
However, one must remember, many songs nowadays are carefully manufactured...
They don't contain the word "f*ck" but they're talking about the act of f*cking itself...
After all, all they care about is making money as it seems that sex sells...

I'm tired of listening to songs nowadays...
The quality is reduced in terms of the musical composition and the lyrical composition itself...
But this doesn't apply to all songs...
There are still good songs available...
If not on the radio, it's on the internet...

However, this is just an opinion...
It's better to use other words as superlative...
But, if I have to choose, I'd rather use "f*ck" as superlative than listening to songs about f*cking...

This is just my opinion...
Sorry for the use of vulgar words...
Oh...What the fish!

Here We Go Again: EPL VS Tarawikh...

Assalamu'alaikum...
Happy Fasting to all muslims and good day to non-muslim friends...

It's here, it's now...
It's Ramadhan again...
One full month of fasting during the days and tarawikh prayers during the nights...
That's just to name a few ibadah that you can do...
There are many others...
Even smiling is an ibadah...
Being nice to people is ibadah...
and the list goes on and on and on...

Apart from fasting, this month also indicate the beginning of a new
English Premier League Season (2010/2011)...
Normally, the match will be played during the nights (Malaysian time)...
The problem is, many of us are going to have Tarawikh prayer at night...
So, which one is it?
Tarawikh or EPL?

Yes, it's not compulsory, but hey, it's Ramadhan! all your deeds will be multiplied!
No one can guarantee that you'll live to see another Ramadhan...

For some (the best one, I guess), Tarawikh is the priority...
So, no EPL for these selected few...

As for some, maybe they will pray Tarawikh right after the game...
or maybe just before Sahur...
So, it's a win-win situation (maybe)...

For some, it's Tarawikh "off day" during the weekends...
Na'uzubillah...

The choice is yours!

The End is Just a Beginning...

Assalamu'alaikum...
Peace be upon all of you...

Never Again.
I'll slit my throat with the knife I pulled out of my spine.
Maybe when you find out that I'm dead
you'll realize what you did to me.

And if my lungs still let me breathe,
Would you be there for me?
If I can make myself believe,
I'll give you back what you took away.

No, I won't let it go.
Douse myself in gasoline!!
So don't save me when you come into the fire.
I'd rather die than have to see your smile.

And if my lungs still let me breathe,
Would you be there for me?
If I can make myself believe,
I'll give you back what you took away.

You made me swear
You made me swear
I, I can't sleep realize all these things that you took from me.
Smash my heart (you made me swear)
into dust (you made me swear)
Suffocate my mind (you made me swear)
Tear at me from inside (you made me swear)
Smash apart what you created.
How can I ever stop you from crushing my soul?
It was It was yours, yours to begin with.

And if my lungs still let me breathe,
Will you be there for me?
If I can make myself believe,
I'll give you back what you took away

That was the lyrics of a song entitled "Smashed into Pieces" by Silverstein...
Basically, it's about heartbreak...
In this song, the person who experienced the so-called heartbreak took it so hard that he/she feels like killing him/herself...

Why is this happening?
Is this the love that we're looking for?
There's nobody who can guarantee that he/she might be the one for us...
Save yourself for the rightful person...
The one that you are married to (not the one that you think you would marry someday)...

So, if any of you out there who are experiencing this so-called breakup right now, my message to you is simple;
"Cheer up, buddy! I bet God has better plans for you"

Here's a song to keep your chin up...

The Ataris - My Reply

I got your letter and the poetry you sent me
Postmarked in December of last year
I really hope you're doing better
All of your friends close by your side
One step closer to recovery

I wish there was something I could say
To erase each and every page that you've been through
Even though it's not my place to save you

I appreciate but can't accept this thank-you note
that's sealed with your last breath
I won't stand aside and listen to you give up

If you'll just hold on for one more second
Just hold on to what you have
If you'll just hold on, just hold on
You will wake up tomorrow

These arms remain stretched out to you
Maybe someday you'll accept them
Or maybe its too late to save a young girl's heart that's long stopped beating

Wake up, wake up you've gotta believe
Wake up, wake up you cant give up
Time keeps going on without us
Long after we're dead and gone

I wish there was something I could say
To erase each and every page
You've been through
Even though it's not my place to save you

I appreciate but can't accept this thank-you note
That's sealed with your last breath
I won't stand aside and listen to you give up

If you'll just hold on for one more second
Just hold on to what you have
If you'll just hold on, just hold on
You will wake up tomorrow
