The True Exam...

"One down, four to go..."

Final exams are filling up the space in most of IIUM students' calendar...
Exams aren't easy...Neither do life...

Life is the true exam

When you were a cute, little 2 or 3 years old, people think you were adorable when you fell as you were trying to walk...

"Hey, it's not funny! I'm trying to walk, here!", shouted your tiny heart...

But that's life...

4-6 years old...
Coming back home, hands and knees were hurt and dirty...

"What has happened, son?"
"I fell from my bicycle...again..."
"Be patient, son...That's life..."

7 years old...
First day in school...
"Son, daddy will leave you with your friends and teacher here...I'll pick you up after school"
"Friends? What friends? I don't have any friend here..."
"I want to go home, daddy...I hate school!"

7-12 years old...
Life's getting easier in school...
Everything is perfectly fine...
Loads of friends...
Live happily ever after...

13 years old...
First day in boarding school...
"I'm going to miss mom and dad..."
"I don't want to live in hostel..."
"Why you want to send me away from home? You don't love me anymore?"
"Be patient, son...This is for your own good...You can learn to be more independent if you live and study here...It's for your future..."
"Whatever..."
(sigh)

14-17 years old...
"Son, are you coming back this weekend?"
"I can't...I'll be having some homework and discussion with friends"
"OK...Just take care of yourself,k?"
"OK"

It turns out that the "discussion" is actually hanging out with friends at the nearby mall (ECM?)

18-23 years old...
College/Matriculation/University...
Away from home...
Freedom at last...
Girlfriends?
Smoking?
Clubbing?
Drinking?
Sex?
Drugs?
Everything is to be explored...
Parents are faraway...
Do this...
Do that...
Nobody cares...
Nobody knows...
Live life to the fullest...

BUT
He knows what we are doing, right?
"Yes, but we can't see Him"

BUT
He can see us, right?
"I don't want to be a hypocrite...pretending in front of Him and everyone else that I'm an angel when I'm actually worse than the devil..."

It's not being a hypocrite...
It's our duty to worship Him...
We are created ONLY to worship Him

This means,
we have to follow all the guidelines that He has set...
After all, He is The Creator of the Heaven and Earth and everything in between, right?

Well, these times (being given a little bit of "freedom") are actually one of the most hardest part of our lives...
Some may survive...
Others may stumble...

Let's hold hands...
Strong enough to hold each and everyone of us from stumble upon a glass...
A glass that will easily break...
Shattered into pieces...
That can bleed us to death...

Life is INDEED the true exam...
